College
One of the best ways people define Morgantown is by its college students. WVU and Fairmont State offer every program imaginable and each semester there is an influx of students that can reach up to 30,000 temporary residents of our city.
At Catalyst we know that college can be a time of discovery and transition and the thing that students need more of all is relationship. We minister to the students of Fairmont State and WVU in a few different ways:
1. By partnering with Campus Ministries.
Morgantown is blessed to have many active and thriving campus ministries that meet a student right where they are. We host events that highlight these and we assimilate Catalyst members to serve within them to help create an environment of continuity and relationships within the Kingdom of God that is Morgantown.
2. By having college App Groups.
At the beginning of each semester we launch a new App groups specifically for college age residents. This helps them never feel alone and always have places to connect with new friends.
3. We offer service opportunities.
Whether it is serving in your community, campus or within our Sunday services, we believe that students should be released to change the world by partnering with us. We know that students aren’t just the future of the church, they are the church.
