There’s a reason Jesus told his disciples that we have to become like little children in order to enter the kingdom of God. Every day a child encounters new things, and approaches it with passion and curiosity. They have the greatest faith, and are at the greatest capacity for learning than they’ll ever be again. What an extraordinary time of life to be discovering who God is and the blessings he shows us every day! Here at Catalyst, our focus is on family. We believe that we need to join together with parents as a team in order to teach kids about Jesus. Our program on Sunday morning is during worship times and our facility is located on the left side of the Met. The ages of our children’s ministry are birth-fifth grade. Our lessons are based on a curriculum created specifically for each child’s age group to help them understand God and learn specific virtues through bible stories.

What happens at Catalyst Kids?

After our quick check in process, our volunteers will show you where to go next. The nursery for birth-24 Months is up the stairs; 25 months and above are down the stairs to the left of the check in desk. For this age group, we start off with a fun worship service, and then the toddlers will have their lesson in a separate room. Elementary age kids will remain and have a lesson altogether, and then they will split up into smaller groups based on age and will discuss the lesson with their small group leaders and have a fun activity too!  As you pick up your child, make sure you have your child’s number card with you. It is only with this card you will be able to pick up your child. This is simply a security procedure to make sure that your child is kept safe and with the appropriate guardian. You will also receive some Parent Cues each week that go over what your child learned that day and great discussion topics to bring up with your child throughout the week!
